We all experience the lingering sense of not fitting in at times. It’s a place that isn’t necessarily happy, but it’s exactly where Broken By Design draws their strength. They talk about everything we’d like to push away and anything we always ignore. With similar sounds as Queens Of The Stone age, Muse or (Royal Blood) they utilize heavy guitar-sounds, vocal harmonies and punk energy to make their music as personal as possible

Broken by Design was founded in 2022, but their roots go back to late-2015. All four members attended the ArtEZ University of Arts, located in the Netherlands. After doing a few shows and even winning a local band-contest, plans for releasing an EP in 2017 were in the works. However when personal life got too burdening, these plans were sadly postponed. In years 2018 – 2020 members had some problems with mental health. Every member lived a different story, but found each other in the drive to write songs about feeling like an outsider.

Writing and making music together became very important for every member of Broken By Design. “Whatever happens,” they said, “We’ll be playing.

After the pandemic, it became apparent Broken By Design was getting ready to go out, record their music and release their first album.
